Dr. Sidney Olansky was a pioneer in the late 1950's as the Director of Venereal Disease Research Laboratory at the CDC in Atlanta. In 1981, Dr. Sid, as he is affectionately called, left Emory to join his two sons in the practice of dermatology. Dr. Sid has many years of experience. He believes that patient education is a vital part of therapy, and that an informed patient is most likely to have the best outcome.
Over the span of his illustrious career, Dr Sid has always been involved in teaching. He was Associate Professor of Dermatology at Duke University Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine where he is also Professor Emeritus since 1981. Dr. Sid has published over 100 articles in the area of Dermatology and attends continuing education seminars regularly.
